Certificate of Verification

All OPTi handheld refractometers sold through Refractometer Shop will have a unique serial number and come supplied with a Bellingham + Stanley Certificate of Verification (found within the quick start guide).

Certification provides peace of mind that every instrument you buy is traceable is traceable to NIST and ICUMSA standards.

During the calibration process we use B+S AG Fluids prepared within Bellingham + Stanley’s UKAS accredited calibration laboratory no. 0834, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 using high purity analytical grade (AnalaR NORMAPUR®) water and sucrose.

B+S Calibration Oils are mineral oils analysed using a high accuracy refractometer with measurements taken at 589.3nm and 20.0 °C following B+S Laboratory Procedure QL-102.

The Certificate of Verification is supplied free of charge to customers of Refractometer Shop on their initial purchase of a refractometer. Recertification is available at the standard retail price of £59.99 per certificate. Please contact us directly if this is something you require.
