A rugged refractometer with dual scales for use in measuring grape must in the wine industry at harvest time. This Eclipse combines the 0-30 %Mass (Brix) and Alcohol Probable scales with 1.0 and 0.5 scale divisions respectively. Temperature compensation is by simple manual adjustment of the zero offset screw against water. The probable alcohol scale (AP) is often used in France, whilst the Brix scale is commonplace across many applications.
With an IP65 rating as standard, this Eclipse refractometer is rated against moisture ingress making it extremely suitable for use in the field and other wet or cold environments.
