This OPTi refractometer with 3 preset scales has been specifically designed with winemakers in mind. The 3 preprogrammed scales allow winemakers to assess the sugar content byway of Brix percentage (sucrose, %Mass), measure grape must, and determine alcohol by volume (ABV). Klosterneuburg (KMW/Babo) scale. The Klosterneuburg (KMW Babo) scale is commonly used in Austria and parts of Switzerland for measuring grape must.

Scale B is set to: KMW Babo

Scale C is set to: °Zeiss (ABV) 

The OPTi Digital Handheld Refractometer - Wine (%Mass/KMW/Zeiss) scales are preselected at despatch, but may be reassigned using the scale selection method detailed here.
