The primary scale of this refractometer is %starch. The OPTi digital refractometer can be used to test starch solutions in the food & beverage industry but also has uses elsewhere. The 0-30 starch scale refractometer can be used at an industrial level, useful for testing starch solutions used for coatings within the paper and textile industry.
This OPTi refractometer comes with 1 preset scale and 2 empty scales ready for user definition.

The OPTi® Digital Handheld Refractometer from Bellingham + Stanley puts a powerful, fully portable instrument in the palm of your hand. Powered by just 2xAAA batteries, the OPTi refractometer can take 10,000 readings in 50 common refractometer scales.
OPTi refractometers are made in Germany and feature a durable IP65 rated housing, a stainless steel prism dish which rapidly stabilises sample temperature, and a clear LCD display. All tri-scale OPTi refractometers have the ability to measure across the full 0-95 °Brix range.
